Plastic thingies? Are they tray shelves for under the seats?

apparently they are some sort of guides that have to be fitted in the seat rails. I was just curious about installation.

remove the seat by taking the little pin out from the front that limits the seat travel in the sliders. This will allow you to slide the seat all the way out.
Once the seat is out the new plastic guides just clip on. Then just put the seat back in the same way it come out. Its a pretty simple job.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do these guides do? Stop the seat from moving around too much and eliminate creaking?

they make the seat run smoothly in the seat rails. They tend to wear out over time and allow the seat to rock a lot in the rails. Only really applicable to older models

Just make sure to drive around with your Sunroof (if you have one) open for good measure.

Where did you get the "plastic thingys" from?
I could do with a set myself.
