mk2 UK national meet

so whilst on my travels in the uk, i stumbled across the mk2 national meet
didn't tally them up but there must have been at least 50 mk2's for show, ranging from CL's to 16v's and G60's. lots of 1.8 20VT around too.

anyway here's a few pics





a mint 8v with only 35,000 miles from new!! never seen a more mint VW

and a GTD, owner said there were only 120ish left on the roads

Fit a 1.8T in a mk2 golf - under a grand.
VR in a mk2, 500 pounds

i can't believe the prices of cars over here..
a 2009 jag XKR for 20,000 Pounds!!!!!!
and a good 16v for like 3,000 Pounds... and a rallye for 5-6k!!!

its absolutely mad

was thinking about buying a car, driving it round, then ship it back... maybe next time
