Just want to clear up the assumption that I have built this car.
Sorry if I have come across as having done this. I dont want to take credit for someone elses work.
I purchased this car with the conversion I have just spent the last 11mths tidying it up and making it a MK2 again and not a VW hybrid.
The car had a lot of issues all which are not fixed but it is now a MK2 with a 20v conversion. Not a MK2 body filled with MK3 and MK4 bits and pieces.
Most of what I have done has been interior and wiring which even for an autoelectrician friend was a complete nightmare.
My original project which ended up being parted out was the donor for many parts including the immaculate interior.
I am happy to answer any questions but just remember I am not the mastermind.

                what a mission.

                now the fun begins.
lots of little issues as the car hasnt been driven for a year never mind given a boot full.

blown off three hoses so far.
too much boost ??? not sure.

So happy that you have a MK2 on the road. It by all accounts is a beast of a car from what I can see and knowing it's history. The interior is really a great job - original and good condition. Looking forward to catching up soon to check it over.

                          Thanks Mik
Yes boost gauge wired up but not plugged in yet.
Boost control is also on the agenda now.
Tinkered with it a little and now seems to be under control.
Button clutch also has to go.

A friend of mine has an Evo 6 with a button clutch. The car is a bit rough, but it's his daily, and he says the clutch is bloody terrible.

I drove it to work last week and what a mistake.
It wont break but its rough as. Very hard to get a good launch in first.
Should be out in the next few weeks.

everything with this car is a mission!!!!!!
