  • A/C Compressor Pulley Swap.

Have acquired a MK3 ADY motor which I plan to strip the MK3 style belt set-up off and put into my MK2.
The only part I didn't get was the MK3 Compressor (SD7V16).

Does anyone know if the serpentine pulley (clutch set-up) of the MK3 A/C compressor be retrofitted onto the MK2 compressor?

    Any input welcome.

One serpentine belt would be a lot more effective and visually pleasing than the trillions of V belts I currently have on my mk2 that squeals like a pig whenever I consider driving though a moist patch.

^As Carl said, also my belts get squeaky even on a humid day.
Also the serpentine set-up uses a much better alternator and tensioning system.

If its like my serpentine setup, it has a low mount alternator/ tensioner in one. My belt is super short, with only the crank, water pump and alternator to spin. Trying to see whether I can fit a mk3 pas pump to it as well.

Well, the solution is a G60 compressor + 2 washers.
Same suction/discharge ports as MK2 style A/C connections with a serpentine belt.

Until I have installation pics, here's something to think about.
