  • Introducing Sean's Mk2

    Hi,
I've finally gotten round to posting some pics up of my Mk2 GTi. Purchased from Vista late-2011 and really enjoying it.
Here's a link to my flickr stream for those that are interested.
Looking forward to talking shop (not that I know much) and hopefully meeting a few of you around the traps.
    Cheers,
    Sean

          Very nice ride mate,

are those patches on the drivers and passengers seat bases original? i had an idea to do a similar thing on mine as they are starting to fray.

great car Sean, glad to see you love it
was the headunit always the original.. or did you buy that recently, if so where!!! and could u post a pic of it please

i got mine re-upholstered as normal.. but i had the bolsters stiffened up. as long as you get into it a$$ first, and try not to rub against the seat bolsters, the seats shouldn't wear to badly, and will last a whole lot longer.

Thanks for the kind words. Hamza, those patches aren't original. A previous owner had it done, and I'm so glad he did. A friend of mine was looking at the car recently and he thought they were factory fitted.. Whoever did it did a good job thankfully. I do recommend it.

Stiggy, the head unit is a Pioneer casette deck - I doubt it's original but I could be wrong. Ill take a pic when I next get a chance.

My brother used it for a wedding recently so I can't wait to see the professional photographer's snaps!
