ok willa chip give more power through all gears ? im just looking for a starting point to get this mota singin , then what ? my mk2 is getting resprayed at the mo due to some fading will post some pics in a few weeks.

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

The power from the chip is not affected by which gear you're in. The powerband (rev range) is the common denominator.

Chip will change the fuel map and spread the power over a bigger powerband. Rather than actually increase power. When I chipped mine it transformed it. Remember to check the chip is for a car with a cat converter not euro car!Comment

Speaking of superchips, have you considered a superchargger
you can buy 2nd hand of toyotas & minis ect. There are different types , some on all the time & others that you flick the switch when @ the lights ect
The thing is to have someone to install it & all the other bits to go with it???????Comment
