Don't know about that one.But if you don't use them I'll have them as I've got a 2.0 block.

from what I understand you will have to use the 2 litre crank, and possibly use the 1.8 rods, also there can be some issues with gudgeon pin diameter, really all depends if the donor pistons came from the "taller " series of engines or not. U need to find out...

Definately will be finding out as I have a KR 1.8 16V and a set of 2.0 pistons from a 9A .

yes 82cab you can but it won't be cheap.... first if they are audi 16v pistons or the short (bubble block) 2.0 L version... than what you will need to do is machine the deck of the block by 3.2mm ... the rods are the same for the 2.0L 8v/16V and the 1.8L 16v (dimentionally that is) 144mm centre to centre and bearing sizes as well.
of course you will need to bore the block to accomodate the larger pistons as well... but there is more because the block is now shorter you will need an adjustable 16v cam gear in order to dial the cams back to original specs.

now the pistons for the 16v tall block as found on the Seat Cupra 16V are different still ... all I can tell you is that they have a different wrist pin size.
