Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Perth based MK2 owners

Hi guys knocking around a few ideas with some of the other Perth based people on the forum and thought it might be good to see how many other Perth based MK2 folk are on here. So if you're in WA and curious about the MK2 scene here drop a line in here.

Ah well I guess we'll find those that want to be found but 25 odd mk2's cruising down the road would look pretty damn awesome.

Sounds good but I will be at work slaving away to pay the bills. Good news is I've found a nice engine for the car so when I get back to Perth I will go inspect it and then it's go time

The GTi is dead Ive been doing things to it ever so slowly and yesterday after ages of waiting I decided to do some work on the car. I replaced the stock Eprom with an aftermarket one and now the car is dead. I returned the stock Eprom and still she wont start. So I'm getting to that stage where I just might part her out or send it to the wreckers. Sad though it is i'm just not as interested after a few life disruptions and other upheavals. As a last ditch effort I thought I'd check and see if anybody had n ECU lying about that I might give a crack its a digifant 2 part number: 037 906 022 CS. Anybody?
Wishing everyone a wonderful "Day after Aussie day"
