  • small bumper mk2's...

...whats the go? are these/were these ever available in australia? are there many around?
i just love the small bumper mk2's (as i love mk1's) but am in a pickle as to whether i'd be able to get my hands on one here...? if not is there some sort of conversion available to do?

    cheers guys, elton

    Ha u've turned
There aren't many.. All of the original small bumpers are pre 89.
U can rip off the big bumpers and put some smalls on. I think u need (obviously) small bumpers f&r, front panels underneath the grill, wheel arches, side strips and mounting clips for the bumpers to bolt onto the car.
I think its a pretty straight forward conversion. I know it's easy enough to pull small bumpers on and off so "how hard can it be"

It is easy enough to convert a big bumper car to smalls but it ain't cheap as you'll have to import all the parts.

All MK2's have high mileage because even the newest ones are 20+ years old, so 200,000kms is only 10,000kms a year....

For the right offer i could be tempted to sell my small bumper MK2.....

If you want I can swap my F/R small bumpers to your F/R big bumpers... let me know if you already have your mk2 and if youre interested...

              Thanks!
