Any help greatly appreciated as my exhaust is currently being held up with zip ties....

I tried a local place and just got some head scratching and replies along the lines of "dunno what'll fit that mate, have you tried the internet".

If i can't find anything, i'll keep trying the local places. Just thought i'd ask here just in case anyone knows anyone.

Couple years back I had one missing from Back muffler and tracked one from a local muffler shop in the Gold Coast- on Ferry Road in Southport. It might have helped they also welded a new bit of pipe.
I would have thought a local shop would have different sizes? Sounds like they are just being un-helpful.

I tried at Miami Mufflers on my way home from work, who gave me the un-helpful advice. Also tried the usual suspects of Supercheap, Autobarn etc.
I just don't have time at the moment to be running around to exhaust shops all over the coast. I was just looking for the rubbers so i can fit them myself.

          Found some at GAP at a very reasonable US$1.10, for future reference if anyone needs some;

Oh, are we meant to use proper OEM hangers?
My exhaust is held on with a combination of OEM hangers and these tackers...

I just went into work and chose whatever looked closest to fit haha

Those are the ones that were on my car & broke. I had one holding up the back box & one holding the pipe in the middle, both broke in the same place in the same way from fatigue. So i was looking for something a bit more robust.

I know what's being added to my next GAP order then.

You must be on their Platinum Customers list

The old ones lasted a couple of years, but i think the problem they held the exhaust too loosely so it was able to bounce around too much causing them to wear.

I better check my one, you have me worried a bit! I have a bit of rattling when the car is fully loaded.

On another note I got my GAP order today A few little treats for my GTI. Now I just need to find time to fit them.

There's an OEM style hanger with a bicycle chain cast into the rubber.

                      Expensive but they'll never snap.

I was going through heaps of hangers on the racetrack, the exhaust temps just killed them.

Since I upgraded to the chain style hangers I haven't replaced another one.
