Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    okay guys,
I have been searching for something that strikes me as WIN!, i think i may have found what i am after, and a return back to the VAG may be on the cards shortly.

But first i need some help/info from people who may have imported there vehicles, im keen on getting one from the uk.

Any general info including costs would be very helpful..

    cheers,
    kosta.

How keen are you to do some work yourself, as there is a MK2 1.8T conversion in the FS thread with some TLC would come up pretty well in my opinion.

This. That car is a H-Reg which means it's a 1990 car. You'd have to find a pre 89 car so plate begining with G,F,E,D,C,B,A

But there are a few good prospective cars for sale on here at the moment. As above loon's 3 door, then there's jdrose's 1.8T, a beauty 16v 3door & dangerdan has previous eoi on his G60. I'd exhaust all those options before going through the hassle of importing a UK car.
