parcel shelf material

id been hunting around to get some of the same material top and bottom on the mk2 parcel shelf.. as somones hacked it up
so i found some today.
its black front runner carpet (on the top) and felty sort-of carpet (underneath)

i got it from Australian trim supply, 14 Hilton street Dandenong

the infamous speaker holes that have also made it cave in the middle

I'll have to check in the morning to see wether mine's doing that.
Your's look indestructable now haha, I also like how you carpeted both side's (much nicer finish)

Mine originally had both sides carpeted with vw germany stamped underneath.
I think over time everyones will cave in, wether or not u put things on it, so stiffening is a good idea me thinks
