1984 8V Kjet head differences.

Hi guys,

My old original head off my Kjet has 5 cam carriers and bucket shims.
A new head I acquired has 4 cam carriers and no bucket shims.

Will this head work on my EV block?

It's a 1984 MK2 GTi, engine number EV022000.

I reckon it will, however you might find that the oil pump doesn't pump enough oil to fill the lifters properly. This will cause them to rattle a bit.

Best to find someone with ETKA and have a look at the part numbers of the pumps from the 2 engines.
