The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • MK2 GTI Door

    Hey Team,

There's been an incident with my beloved '85 GTI.

A cyclist has gone and plowed into the open passenger side door.

Based on the damage, it looks as though I need to get a new door altogether *sigh*

Im looking to track down a passenger door for a 1985 GTI.

The colour is champagne and I'm located in Melbourne.

    Any thoughts?

I've heard that the model MK1's would fit.

    Is this true?

Any way, if any one could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    CS

          I'm sure Mk1 door won't fit Mk2.
PM GolfLoon, he should have somthing for you.

the car was unbelievably straight before this incident.
Its an '85 SA import. Colour: Champagne
              Im so upset.

Im just super keen to have it fixed at this stage.
I went to a panel beater and he rung around a number of places and said the only thing he could track down was a mk1 passenger door.

I dont want to waste my time if it not going to be right.

How could I find out if Golf Loon can help a brother out?

Or should I just wait for him to contact me in the thread.
