Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Hi there All,
    HELP!!!!

    I have searched high and low to find preferable complete tie rods for my mk2 GTI 8v (with power steering)

    Can anyone help source these parts either complete or rack/tie rod ends + boots (boots are the easy part)

    getting to the point where wheel alignments dont and some nice clunking occasionally.

    Where are you searching? Any vw parts supplier will have these, I can suggest 10+ suppliers in Vic /nsw and just as many o/s. Some one from Bne can assist better but these shouldn't be hard to find. Even repco can probably order them in

    Google is your friend.....

        Cool but what brand???

        I would like febi bilstein - just had good experience with these parts but yeah I have seen meyle etc but heard they aren't much.

        if you can let me know it wold be greatly appreciated.
