Is this the gasket set I need for the 1.8 8v Kjet EV motor?

That would do you, no new seals for the injectors though. I bet they are shot away originals.

Ok.. Got the intake manifold gasket swapped. Man that was a fun job! I worked out the little hoop is to hold/lower the gasket in. Made it soo easy to do without fully removing the manifold.
About to do the rocker gasket as I had oil on 2 of the intake bolts.

2nd Gasket round and it still leaks. Now from the other side of the engine. Going to tighten it up tomorrow and see how it goes. Should I just silastic it in place then bolt together?
I;m thinking last resort is to take the ehad off and have a good look at the guts of the engine, maybe a new cam, heavier valve springs, a mild port/polish...

Try using a little vaseline on either side of the gasket.. Apart from a better seal, it can also stop the gasket adhereing to the manifold and head if you ever need to take it off again, increasing the chance that you can use it again.

Loosten all the bolts a bit and jiggle the manifold. Maybe you have it caught on the exhaust manifold or gasket.sigpic Camden GTI Performance. VW / AUDI Specialists
