    Hey all,

It's taken forever, but I've joined the Golf club with my new Red Mk2 GTi, bought from Mezanotti here on the forum. It feels great to finally have it, and it's already been named by one of the girls in my office, Gus.

So anyway, I'll be working on bits and pieces to keep her original and immaculate. Although a set of BBS's might enter the fray at some stage. I've taken a few snaps with my iPhone but will be taking some proper photos once I've washed and detailed it...

I'm looking for a good VW specialist/mechanic to work on her and I'm hoping to get a few things looked and very soon, so any advice or referrals would be very much appreciated.

Expect to see Gus at events and the like over the next while.

    Thanks,
    Darragh

      Thanks Velly.

Well first I'd like to get a good mechanical check, but there's a small issue with the exhaust, accelerator peddle and I'm thinking something might be up with the alternator. I'm not mechanically minded at all though!

Chris from Volkwerke (Greensborough) has worked on my car, he used to own a mk2 too so knows a few things about them.

Nice snap! Looks like a great start.

There are a few workshops floating around Melbourne, if you're out east at all, I'd recommend Volkspower! they're in burwood.

Volkswerk are a while away from me, but they've already done some work on the car for RWC and are great to deal with. I'll try and use them again. But Volkspower in Burwood is a fair bit closer and might be good for tinkering with bits and pieces. Thanks for those!

With regards the parking... it's the Jam Factory, it's normal!

Here are another couple of shots I took. Can't wait to snap again when it's clean! Might also be running on Ronals or BBSs in the near future too!
