    Hey guys,

the golf has started to hum and vibrate when i turn left at speeds over 40... Sounds like a RHF wheelbearing doesnt it? Not too sure how they sound on golfs as i have more to do with fords... Just put in a new p/s pump and the belt is tight... Let me know what you guys think!

    Thanks, Stefan

Could be, make sure the hub nut is tight too. If it's slack, chances are it did the bearing in. 30mm socket and 2 foot bar.

Go no bigger than a two foot bar! I just replaced the outer CV, torqued up the hub nut, and stripped the cv thread tightening it up too much. . Off to get another outer CV.

      Not so tight this time.

+1 YES... I thought I had bearing problems and the wheel hub nuts were loose.
