hey guys my gti has its little problems lol.

now the washers dont work.. there is heaps of water but the water doesnt spray out... any help ?

could be a clogged line, can you here the motor running? or no sound at all?

i cant hear the motor running ..i cant hear the wizzing noise...doesnt work for rear wiper either

mine was doing the smae thing.. had to get the motor replaced. i'd check for clogging also

Check electrics first

Get a multimeter/12v globe or other circuit tester and make sure you're getting current to the motor. If not, check wiring and fuses. If you are, chances are that the pump's seized. This often happens after summer when you haven't used it much. It isn't a drama 'cos if it's the same as the mk1 you can disassemble and free it. There's a gasket between the pump end plate and the motor and it probably would have reached its use-by date by now. I usually make up a new one from an old piece of inner tube. Make a template and sandwich the rubber between two pieces of wood. You can then drill the holes accurately through the wood and rubber.

The usual problem is the motor gets gummed up.
Remove it from the bottle and hoses, then pour WD40 or similar into the inlet and apply 12v until it runs.
