No length mods, just waiting for management now, will be using the car as a demonstrator here

Playing with APR remaps of modern VAG cars in London all of which I'm trying to work out if I can do there, I don't know if there is a market in Sydney for that sort of thing but its an easy way of getting more power or torque for little outlay.

Also, another day means another delivery, today I got this,,,,,,,,,,,,,Thank you Mr tarox

sorry about the picture quality, Thank mr apple

There is already quite a strong market for APR over here with several suppliers & distributors.

Your car is getting better & better. Can't wait to see it bagged. What management are you using? I've heard good things about Acuair.

Accuair, full management, self leveling system, distribute those here but really is a small market, I was talking to 1 of the directors before xmas who seemed to think everyone with a vw had one, what he had in fact done was visit edition 38 and saw every other car with one of his system. Edition 38 cars probably account for 95% of all uk cars with air,,lol

Again its another thing I'd like to do out there but it's not cheap.

Self leveling eh? Like a Range Rover luxury MK2!

Are you gonna bring your contacts with you? Could be a potential market down here. I'll happily put forward my car to be used as a demo

I've just spent a good part of an hour searching for air ride suppliers in australia and I've oly come across 2, one in qld and the other in victoria, there must be more than that,

can't find anything on accu air either?

Not much of a prescence down here. There is a small market for customs/mini-trucks but that's about it.

I think the problem may be to do with legality, not sure but i think you need an engineers cert atfer installation.

Duby, If you want to get it done, get it done in the UK. There's less BS to put up with. Make sure when you import it, you have the V5 with the new engine number. That way, the engineer can't f' you over when it comes time for rego. From my understanding, you won't need to compliance it as it is a personal import (12+months ownership), but I'm not sure how airbags stand with engineers. Alot won't do it as the ride height can be altered while the vehicle is moving. IF you can get something that disables the settings once moving, that should be fine. But less and less engineers are going to engineer bags as it's a huge heap of BS with the RTA and them!

                Ask me how I know!

the system I'll be running has 3 basic settings, 4x4 mode, driving mode and park mode, put your key in the ignition and it raised to drive mode, push a button and go to 4x4 mode or stance, then you have mechanics mode which basically means you disconnect the key pad (1 lead) and ever time you put the key in the ignition the car goes to safety 4x4 mode, as well as that you can play with individual corner settings to get the 3 pre-set heights you want and its a self levelling unit which works on the same basis as xenons on modern cars,

bottom line is once you have the hight you want it monitors itself to maintain it, put weight in the boot, it pumps up, passenger sits down it pumps up, passenger leaves it drops down, no fat chicks stickers will not be needed on the car, it compensates.lol

A lot of hot rodders are starting to move into Air Ride... Might be worth searching for a supplier from their market.. I'm sure there would be one in Sydney.

                    Nice looking car, dude.

The same air ride would be perfect for your caddy, mines standard as I tend to work on building sites, just think how cool that would be 9" drop, no prob, have to pick something up and load it, simple, just touch the go button.

This as close as it's getting to air ride

in fact, I'll have to send you my portfolio to see if there is any work I can help with,,,,,,,lol

right, more toys arrived, the cars not making ultimate dubs in march so getting some trinkets together while I wait for the management system.

Yet again playing with the offsets, that game will never end unfortunately, can't get the tyres I want and I've covered more bits

Hand brake cover and glove box lock for the corrado dash

having these done now plus the door inserts

Spent all of saturday playing with the car getting it ready for early edition and all was good, Shakey carried on with the new boot build and I added a mod which means when I finally get to sydney this year I can go from road to drive without loosing all of the underside of the car,

Boot build pictures to come, to say I'm chuffed is an understatement, more carbon on the car and I think we might have finally cracked how it sits, those pictures to come after the weekend together with others who attend.
