should be in Sydney April, I'm been pressured to pull the shipping back as its feature will coincide with ultimate dubs in mid march, The car has taken a turn which I wish I'd done a year ago but one way or another it will be in sydney by end of april, I just need to be lucky with the tester now as it is heavily modified but in my opinion not dangerous, but then thats my opinion.
As said above I want to use the car as a self promotional tool, I have loads of parts for modern cars, such as ABT pedals, windscreen wiper blanks etc and I'm trying to set up deals with suppliers in the uk so that I get as much discount as possible and the pass it on. Experiences with a mk3 I had out in sydney just demonstrated a- VW dealers are greedy little gits and b- if you need something that isnt a regular consumable they take the royal mickey.
Although I wont carry most parts I have direct links with these companies so can work deals.
Once I know exactly who is involved I'll post it up and advertise on various forums, its probably a lot more agro than its worth but hopefully I'll run itself once its running and I get regular enquiries.
As a tester I am shipping some bits that have been asked for, some of which are special one offs.
I'll let the new owners tell you about the parts when they are ready but I can guarantee that I've probably saved these buys a couple of hundred £'s by going through me and not trying to do it themselves on line.
And as for the meetings, it's going to be my daily for the first couple of months and I intend to go to as many meetings as possible all over the place, I even want to try and put a couple of Japanese noses out of place by turning up, parking and just dumping it on the floor.
Regardless of everything however I will try to brand the BLACK OPS idea as there seems to be a good engineering base in australia which to be honest is lacking in the uk so there could be 2 way traffic
