Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Dashboard covers for Mk2 and Mk3 Golfs needed!

So, now I have the soot box on the road, and I'm out in the Adelaide heatwave, I could do with one of those carpet type dash covers for my Mk 2 and one for the wife's Mk 3... Any ideas where to get them anyone??

I reckon the MK3 would be OK. My Ibiza is holding up well, same era.

Try the likes of SuperCheap etc is my advice.

      Hey mate,

Was also on the look out for some dashmats but supercheap and autobarn had none. I ended buying mine from these guys:

You can choose your own colours, just make sure you tell them to change it to a RHD car mat

      Cheers, Stefan

Pretty sure I have a Mk2 one somewhere. I`ll look.
Dunno why youd cover the dash, I just run em without untill they crack then whack another 10pound pommie dash in.

Yeah, guess you're right, just the fad of pullin the dash out to change it, know what you're sayin tho. If you find the Mk 2 cover, I'd be happy tho. Thanks all!
