Yup, exactly what i was thinking mate.

I also adjusted your drivers seat. It now sits much higher so even I can see over the steering wheel.

Engineer just came past, should have papers by Thursday.

She's rego'd, insured and legally drivable!!! Just need to sort out the intake gasket and the exhaust, and then tinker on it slowly. Does anyone have a link to a good engine rebuild site for a Kjet?

At last! Nice one, bet you've been hanging to drive it. Repairs never end though...

Hmm.. 1 annoying rattle is the exhaust clamp rubbing and vibrating against the tub (Need to fix as it's wearing a hole!) But I have a squeak. Everytime the car goes over a bump, it squeaks. I wd40 all the joints etc, but it still does it. It's LHR. I can bounce the golf and it squeaks. It's doing my head in!

Now I have to fix the engine. It's got no power. Feels like a 1.1l engine!

It sounds like metal on metal, so I'm leaning towards bushes. Anyone know where to get them from and how hard are they to change?

                          Update:
Bought a VRS set from Tooley Imports. Great price. I hope it's the right one. Anyone know if an EV is the same as a GU/GX?

Fixed the squeak: Exhaust rubbing on something. Now I have to adjust the muffler to stop knocking on the rear valance.

Changed the plugs, All were black and smelt of fuel.

How hard is it to do the intake gasket on an 8v Kjet.

Need to tune the Kjet as well!

                          It's getting there!

tricky cause of where it's placed, but a long allen key and maybe some extension bar should take care of it! pretty straight forward!

Thanks. Is it a specific size? It sounds like it's flooding. Low on power but a real bad unburnt fuel smell out the rear.

IIRC it's a 6mm, but could be wrong. Due to the big curve of the manifold, I'm pretty sure access is pretty good
