looks like a 30-40mm drop.
dom have a look at Awesome - VAG Specialists i got my h&r's off them.. found they were the cheapest at about $830 landed.

Thanks for the link, Stiggy - I was originally thinking about just getting some lowering springs (Eibach), but am starting to consider coilovers.
Which set did you get specifically? And how is it?

i got the -30mm dampening adjustable ones Awesome - H&R Cup Kit - Golf II,Jetta II - >91 - Typ 19E, nur/only 16V, damping force adjustable.
so far i like em.. there a little firmer than standard and better IMO, worth the $830.
only issue is the outside rear wheel rubs slightly under really hard cornering
