They are all left hookers mate, VW made 5000 so they could qualify as a production class Rally car. Not so much tough to import if you could find one thats build date is '88, to register one you'd have to convert it to RHD though.

The syncro drivetrain is pretty handy. The rest of it is a taste thing. I have been in some quick ones, one of the best had a 20vt conversion and 300+ hp. It had a bit on an appetite for rear diffs.Originally posted by IH8 View Post
A mate had a GTI G60 syncro which had the same drivetrain and was a much stealthier car and a great deal rarer than a Rallye.
