  • MAF Oil temp sensor

I think i just blew it out when i did my oil and filter change.

Upon starting the car this little plume of smoke rose up from the engine bay, I quickly shut it down and inspected, it was electrical smoke not oil burning, the smoke stopped and i tentatively restarted the engine and no smoke. I flicked through the maf and the oil readout is saying --- and i noticed the oil light flashes when the ignition is on instead of just being lit up.

Long story short is my assumption correct?

Oil has to come up to temp befor the readout works. Glad you didn`t toast anything.

Im curious as to why something fried up after the oil change, maybe just coincidence.

My oil light flashes for like a second now then glows normal.

Maybe different grade oil, or sensor is cleaner, something like that.

Just for info, you mean MFA (Multi Function Adaptor) not MAF (Mass Air Flow)
