Hahahahaha...You lucky Bastard!! I really want that car, but it looks like I will have to build one up. I love the wide arches and big bumper look, and that front grill is magic.
I offered to buy it off Golfer when he had it, and If the previous owner had waited even till october, I would have paid with cash on the spot...I'm in another country at the moment, so I couldn't buy it!! I will ask you again in October when I come home on leave to Sydney, then in February when I return for good, and see how keen you are to sell then. I am serious, and It will be cash!!

Ah i see! haha! Well talk to me when you get back buddy. It'll most likely have a ludicrous asking price for anyone that wants to buy though! The reason i bought it was so i could have a great, period correct tuned - classic and hold onto it for ages. Always wanted a car that i could give to my kids one day.

Thats an awesome reason man. Thats pretty much the same reason I love this car. I will have a budget I can go to, but we will see when the time comes.

Cheers guys, yeah its nice and torquey, revs pretty well too. But as i said in some other posts i didn't buy it because it was quick, i bought it because its a classic!
Congratulations Sledge. This was my old baby, and believe it or not, may have been one of the worst Mk2's in Australia before I bought it... I'm really glad it has found another pair of appreciating hands...
Thanks John, If you are ever down this way feel free to PM me and come have a drive, i let matt know the same deal. With such a special car i'd love the old owners to come and visit it sometimes!
