bent output flange is this possible?

Hey guys,

I had the drive shafts bolted to my mk3 2.0GL knuckles and when the car was running (on stands) the longer drive shaft was spinning on an egg shape. I took the shaft to a place to be checked and its running true and the CV's are fine. I just want to eliminate this problem ASAP. Is it possible it was not sat nicely in the output flange or would a loose drive shaft nut cause this?

hey mate,

with the longer cv shaft out dose the stub shaft (the small shaft that goes into the diff that the inner cv bolts to) move in that oval shape? if not just try refitting it.

yer its fine (so the guy who checked it said), maybe a refit is in order?
