Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Anyone know where the computer vacuum line plugs into the engine?

also the breather from the tank. I reckon this goes to the diaphram switch by the air intake.

Well I'm not sure about the tank one, but I'm failry sure the one from the computer goes to a tee piece, one end going to the vacume line off the top of the inlet manifold, the other end going over towards the airflow meter, where it comes to another tee piece one going to one valve on the back of the airbox and the other end going to another valve on the fender side.

Not sure there is a tank breather Matt. The ecu gets tee'd off the servo vac pipe IIRC. There is a picture of it in the Haynes and a pretty good one in ETKA too.
As long as it sees manifold vacuum it'll be ok.
