Mk2 3 door parts?

Its that kind of thing that has made me not get a 2 Door to rebuild.

Id love one but when I thought about it, the Aussie GTI's are going to have less rust, parts are more available and i don't have the skills or cash to be cutting rust out of a car.

haha well said never any rust in ausi built golfs and that will stand the time , hey 4 door mk2 gti is a cruiser when you do a 400klm drive from the city to the county , more doors =l more fun

I have 2 UK imports one has no rust what so ever.
the other has a rusted battery tray. Thats it.. Depends on where in the UK they come from.

Probably not so much as to where they come from, it ices up everywhere to a varying degree and they use salt on the roads everwhere, more of a case of when they were driven and where and how they were cared for. Most would be rusted I reckon...you got the holy grails!

Depends how long they have been in Oz too. Longer the better as far as rust is concerned.
