  • suspension/steering troubles

my mk2 gti is having a few problems.

The car when i accelerate pulls to the right and under braking it pulls to the left. My front left makes a scraping noise when doing hard right corners..

    Any help?

something sounds seriously loose there or the bushes are chopped out in the arms.

You can readily get polythene suspension arm bushes from most good suspension shops. Couldn't tell you how much they will charge you. The noise on lock sounds like a seperate issue. Didn't you have these problems a couple of months ago or was that someone else? Needs inspection asap though.

Rear wishbone bushes do that kind of stuff when they are shot. I had a 90 passat that changed lanes on the throttle, they were that bad.

Pretty cheap to buy, need to check the alignment and camber after you have done them. Maybe an hour a side for labour. I bought some pretty cheap with a load of gear from the States but they are made in Australia too.

Could be a rear wheel bearing.
