New Interior + More

I was in the UK in September and bought a bunch of stuff for the MKII....some of it i brought back in my suitcase (new handles, badges etc) but some stuff was too bulky (just slightly) and it all arrived the other day with a little help from the infamous Golf Loon...have to say at this point..massive thankyou to Matt...your a damn legend mate! Im sure you could tell i was excited when i picked the stuff up :p

I bought a new Electric (not sure if the motors work yet)Recaro interior and drove half way across the country in my Focus renta car to pick them up...but it was worth it!

Some pics after a bit of a clean.. but they need a proper upholstery cleaner I reckon.

As you can see, drivers seat has some normal bolster wear but ill get that sorted eventually. I got my self some matching door cards a while back...so all good.

I also picked some new H4 headlights and some new manual adjust mirrors from GSF.

Hopefully this will get my ass into gear and crack on with the car!

This also means I will have my old interior, 2 Fronts, Rear bench and door cards up for sale.....will put it in the for sale section soon.

Also...I got this out of a 16V GTI but Matt was saying it may even be out of a G60 with that bolstering....im not too sure...any ideas?

Nice, i love the cloth Recaros, i must get some for mine this year, not cheap though for the Corrado, at least $700 pounds, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

As for them being from a G60, well they would of been from a LHD, as there were no RHD Golf G60s. But don't they have the pull handles on both sides? The only way of telling would be what side the bolsters were worn on.

I'm pretty sure they were an option on the UK 16V, but havn't seen many with them, good find i reckon! Where in the UK did you get them?

I payed 325 pounds for the seats....they were from eBay...from a guy in Norwich.

Just had a thought, they are from a 16V, matches the pattern in the brochure for the Recaro sports seat option.

Yeah im originally from Cambridge (St Ives to be precise), thats where I was staying in September, so only about an hours drive away. Where are you from?

i was at the ritual goodie unpacking of UK loving when these arrived in sydney. the bolsters are f**kin enormous!!! they are the absolute graus.

i mean, i thought my vr bolsters were big, but these have a solid 2 inches extra side boltering. awesome seats!

I stuck both the fronts in yesterday, they certainly hug you in nicely. Matt told me you wanted to buy them...hands off!!!! :p
