Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Interiors??

Wassup guys, I'm just about ready to do a new interior for my Golf Mk2. What options do i have, what will fit in from later model cars? The front driver seat is totally screwed, so i was going to replace the front 2 and get them all trimmmed up the same. Anyone who has any experience in this your thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated. By the way, my Golf is a Mk2GTI 3 Door....

corrado everything fits.. which is lucky because there are SO many rados for breaking round here.

you can modify mk3 seats with the mk2 bases excepts the recline-adjustment gets kinda squashy against the door trim.

i'm sure you could get anything to fit, just depends on much you wanna spend. so... how marrrchhhh???

are you looking for any specific style? recaros always come up on ebay for a couple hundred. you could just replace the driver seat with ONE sparco seat for about that much.

also, leather will be a lot more than that..

I have a set of early Mk2 Black with the grey stripes. I have the complete interior including back seats. No rips on any of the bolsters. Remarkabley well preserved. $400 the lot?

This is them in the Rocco. I also have the correct back seat for the Mk2. They will all bolt straight in and the fronts fold forward.
