AS a general rule. Most places will say a new windcreen is required for most cars for a Roadworthy, let alone a Roadworthy on and old car!

(this is for Vic, donno about other states laws with pink/blue/greenslips etc)

It is possible to pass with an old one, but it can't have any chips or big scratches/cracks etc. Most places are pretty picky about this at the least.

It's easy (to pass) if you've got a new one I've found in my experience.

    newie looks better too imo.

Sorry for the delay, moving house...

Cracked windscreen installed with cleaned rubber. 2 person job and was quite easy. Lessons learned when handling windscreens = try and handle/store them in a vertical position and if you have to lay it down do so with the ends "up" not down (otherwise it's crack time).

New windscreen from O'Brians = $290 installed (21 in stock in AUS). Private retailer = $240 installed.

      Shiit happens.

I found Obriens to be the most expensive when I got my screen.

other mobs were about 50 bucks cheaper, and Jim's was 220 from memory. Cheapest by far I found.
