  • Filling up hydraulic fluid on power hood

So where do I put the fluid in and what type is it?

I notice the resserve tank in the boot is low.

I do not have a manual yet so excuse the dumb arse questions.

Humour me if you can please ?

    Topping the top

Good to see another cabby on the site. To top up the pump -

    1. Use power steering fluid, of course use VW stuff.
    2. Check the level with the roof down.
    3. Above the handle on top of the unit remove the plug with an Allen key. (I forget what size)
    4. Top the unit it up so the level is between the min and max. Some people use a syringe to get the fluid in.
    5. Reinstall the plug, but leave it loose so air can escape.
    6. Close and open the roof four or five times. Leave it open.
    7. Check the level and tighten the plug, and you're done.
    8. Go for a drive and then...

Thanks for you help buddy ! Will check it out, I checked the levek with the roof up, makes sense to do it when the reserve is going to be full with the hood down.

I bet it doesn't even need any.

      Anyway thanks again !
