Finally! Got a VW factory Radio... New in the box with instructions. Can't wait. My radio stopped working years ago! I looked for this for a long time.

I thinking of getting a small amp and some speakers. Anyone know any good radio people in Sydney that can advice me and sells speakers/radio equipment?

Looks the goods for the model

Just a thought I notice a reference to a US state on the box so is it a US radio.

Reason being the spacing of frequencies is different to here and it may not tune too well.

Answer (1 of 4): Yes. In the Americas, we use: * AM 530 kHz - 1700 kHz, 10 kHz increments (1610-1700 kHz is primarily used in the US, as well as Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Argentina) * FM 87.9 MHz - 107.9 MHz, 200 kHz increments * (Some countries, such as Brazil, will be expanding the...

Looking at the face it seems to have the same span but not sure about it.

Japanese radios are also different to here using differnt ranges in the bands. We used to have to fit converters to Jap imports when I drove them in a past life.

Got my radio installed and it works well. It has a tiny screw that you could turn to adjust for the tuning from USA/Germany/Australia.

I am thinking of one of getting one of these. It looks very factory and come in back. It would be nice to have modern sounds in my vehicle. It seemed like a good option for someone like me who does not want to cut up my dash.

Anyone ever use one of those radios? I think they are Australian company.

I have the Retrosounds Model One. Its not too bad, but the Model Two has a lot more usability, so should be even better.

Retrosound are an USA based firm. https://www.retromanufacturing.com/
