Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Window Channel Gaskets....

I need the gasket I'm pointing at. Any idea where to get one? I can get it from MK1 Autohaus (great resource by the way) but if I can get one closer than South America that would be good.

Sorry to be asking so many questions but it's hard to move to a new Country and lose all of your contacts and connections.

    Oh.... and as an American....

I just want to say I'm sorry about Donald Trump. I wanted Bernie Sanders as the next president.

Can't help you for the seal, Thomas. Mk1/2 old rubber parts are close to impossible to find here if you are after new part, compare to America, this is a very small market.
For the connection, you'll soon get connect to many die hard Mk1/2 guys here, feel like you are still at home

That looks like the wrong one.Its a 4 door one by the description.
You will need a 2 door one obviously.
