so smug preen for the price, it's pretty hard to look past hottuning
Haha, oh totally. Complete overkill for a strictly street car. I have heard of hottuning coilovers leaking though. The old man had a car in at the workshop a few weeks ago with new coilovers which were the same colour and style as hottuning ones (don't know what brand) and they were leaking.
Having said that, if everyone says they're good, go for it. Too cheap to knock back. Cheaper than a set of lowering springs and some new struts/inserts!
HUMMM... looks like ill be going thru robin then , i looked at his posts but there was only polo 6N and mk2/3's. but knowing that ill hit him up when im ready to get them.

Apart from the mkV golf and the awd stuff like R32/S3 there isn't many vag cars hottuning don't cover. Price for mk1/2/3 is $700 + postage for reference. I can also organise someone to fit them for you too.
for everyone who has hot tuning, how do you find this suspension for road use only? too stiff?
looking to get a set on my mk1 golf...
thanks in advance!
Depends mate, I love them but am running stock 60 profile tyres which reduces the stiffness, but does also reduce the handling due to tyreflex on such a large sidewall. I find it is a good compromise though.
I would prefer 55's maybe as this would give better handling around corners but would also make the ride firmer.
for an everyday driver and to allow a lot of fun I use 60 profiles. It beats most things round corners due to weight etc and is much more fun than a standard suspension set up.
