On Gumtree there's a Seat Cupra 2.0 16v being wrecked in Qld. The wrecker wants $550 for the ABF motor (150 hp standard) and $2000 for the whole car. Wheels and some small bits have already been sold.
I wouldn't pay $2000 for the whole car but that motor would be sweet. Cableshift gearbox and 280mm front brakes as well as the rear disks would also go well in a MK1 or MK2.
If you do buy the motor remember it's a "tallblock" and sits 16mm higher so you'd need to allow for that when you do the exhaust.
