  • Rear Hatch Removal

Can anyone give me a little more clarrification than my manual.
I've started removing the rear hatch by loostening off the bolts beneath the headliner. This didn't require an impact screwdriver like the manual said it would. rather easy with a ratchet actually.
Now i'm trying to work out where i shoudl disconnect the rear window heater wires. I was expecting a terminal under the headliner, but theres nothing obvious. Only the two terminals on the window itself. but then do i need to thread all the wire through the tailgate. perhaps snipping the wires is an easier way around it all?

    Any tips?

when i did this, i just cut the wires, cause we weren't putting a tailgate back on... (we wrecked that car)

If you're handy with a soldering iron, just cut em, and solder em back together when you're done. I don't see any issue with that...

I think the joiners might be in the trim panels lining either side of the boot.

I went and snipped the supply wire and unscrewed the ground. Made everything easier. And there's plenty of room to soldier it back later.
