oil pressure ???

trying to find out what oil pressure my 1.6 8v
should be running at just blew out my pressure sender
i'm running 10w 30 oil
do the oil pumps have trouble with there relief valve
i have two books telling me different things
and i have way way more pressure than they say

Hi mate oil pressure should be checked at 80c. At 2000rpm the oil pressure minimum is 2.0 bar and anything over 6-6.5 bar is an issue. Switches are coming for leaking mate.

thanks for the reply
it's mainly a cold issue running an after market gauge
anything over 2000 rpm for the first few k's and it's toping
the gauge out at a hundred plus pounds
it's fine at normal running temp, but my car goes to work and
back which is only 4 or 5 k's each way so is cold most of the way

Thats over 7.0 bar , too much mate could be a sticky relief valve for sure then.
