MK1 gti 16s ???

Hi every1, im just curious to know how many of these were ever made and how rare they are?? if any left and what they worth now days. i Never knew there ever was a mk1 16v till now.. how cool...

I got speaking to a french guy from my work who had been into golfs when he was back in his homeland. I was askin him about the old 16s's and he informed me that they we'ren't built buy VW. And that they were sold as kits, I remember reading conflicting info a few years ago. But either way I don't think many we're made. And finding one would be like trying to find an original G60 Limited (71 built).

Yea thanks, i would love to see one though.. saw photos on the net and never seen such a inlet manifold for the 16v engines like that. looks like a neat setup too.

sorry about that folks but i'll try and post the pic again oettinger 16s photo taken at vw mania in belgium, 1 of the very few i've seen even saw one 4 sale in 2001 at gti international england completely original lhd for 9000 pounds about$20,000

Fixed but size is a problem

16valvertwin45s.....I fixed your images for you. You'll probably notice that not only do you have a fine ride there, but it's grown considerably! You need to resize the image before you upload it if you want it to fit on everyone's screen. Most users have resolutions of 1024 wide, so if you resized your images to say 800 pixels wide they would fit on everybody's screen. If you don't know how to do this let me know (I've deleted your second post as the first one works now.)

To resize

Open the picture up in microsoft paint

goto the "image" tab and click on "stretch/skew"

Change the size of the picture accordingly. If its big, useally 40% is good
