Early style 13's means, it's not a campaign, and chances are it's a british import with them tails. (that is, that it's all origonal)

Look's pretty real to me. I'd say it's a around 82/83 model

Series 2 GTI with striped interior, sunroof, no trim's covering the interior paint, sticker's in all the right places.

Just don't know about the front guard indicator's. May have been fitted for compliance.

Yeah, I thought those side front indicators were a bit odd too.

Can confirm it has a sunroof too, not glass though.

Is it an American import with those indicators? GB never had them like that, ours are positioned between the arch and the door on the wing.

They sell those indicators in K-Mart and auto stores, they're not VW they're just generic side repeaters. Don't know why you'd put them on a MK1 unless someone made you.

Otherwise a great looking car, wish I could say it was mine

I can't believe how much it looks like mine. 82/83 gti, alpine white, factory sunroof, mine even had that same twin headlight grill before I went back to singles. Its like my stunt double!

And to give you some incentive the previous owner of my car originally saw it parked in a shopping centre complete with baby seat etc, and he put a note under the windscreen expressing interest and he got it. Give it a go!

I think thats a genuine one. There was one that was snapped up in Canberra for $500 it was then onsold on ebay for a few grand. I seem to remember the aftermarket repeaters. Stick a note on it forsure.
