Roo much dammn bling for me. It really eats me when people try to make mk1s look super modern. Its a 70's car, a classic. Keep it lookin that way. It doesnt need a huge muffler, just makes it sound stupid. the muffler is too big on the beige 2dr, and its got big old wheels, but is still propped up on those big old springs. Neither of those really do it for me sorry.

Two camps...

Mmmm. Tizzy it up or keep it original? That is the question. I reckon it's nobler in the mind to keep it original, but then I'm an old guy who waxes nostalgic. In truth, I would like to have a stock standard 5 door (4 door, Golfwise?? ) and a 3 door with all of the fruit. The 5 door for my conscience and the 3 door for FUNNNNNN
Come to think of it, I've already got 2 stock standard 5 doors. Maybe a wild 3 door next milking season if the finance minster approves.

Golfs have doors and a hatch .The one fitted at the back is what we used to call a tailgate on a station wagon or a boot on a sedan,I will never see it as a door.Never never

Yeah, which should I buy

Small world, hows this... Went to a VW mechanic to see if they could put in a engine for me or get one for me (and they said no ), anyhow, he looked through the VW club magazine and gave me the number of a guy who is selling a 2L 16V motor. I rang him up, got talking, and guess what.. it was non other than our very own ausgolfer .... weird... seems like a top bloke too ......

Dont know how hard it will be finding someone to put in an engine for me..... cant be that hard surely *sigh*..... might have to stick to the one with the cordoba motor already.... but I sooooo want that 16V 2L *drools*
