Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • On the hunt for a Mk1 Swallowtail. PLEASE HELP!

To all you mk1 lovers out there.

I have started this thread in an attempt to find a mk1 swallowtail. I have been searching high and low on carsales, gumtree, ebay and the forums and have had no luck for the past 6 months.

I am looking to start a project build much like many of you have already done.

If anyone here knows of a swallowtail for sale or notices one up for sale on the net please let me know.

    Many thanks

    Mick

    6 months, is that all?

I've been looking (on and off) for about 3 years. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled. Putting the word out (such as this) can only help though! Good luck.

That looks pretty decent.. except the cracked dash. Good price too (doubt it will stay that low!)

Aaah32? I swear I've seen those plates in the western suburbs of melb. Could be mistaken.

It took a while to find my swallowtail too. Keep looking bud
