I have heard of a guy machining 100mm axels to fit 90mm hub carriers can this actually be done ???

It can be done. When you see the interference points you can just machine down that section and make sure you radius any steps that are created. However, if your car is on 15mm balljoints, you may want to change to later uprights to allow 17mm balljoints and extenders to be used, if you go low.sigpic
