In the car previously was a 2.0lt 8v which made 110hp atw and ran 14.2 on the 1/4. hoping for a 13.5 with a standard 20vt. Later on i wanna make it a 2lt with a T28 but thats faaaaarrrr from now........lol

wow 110hp and 14.2 pass down the strip.

I was on 91hp@w and only managed 15.553 with stripped interior and slicks.

                Vid of a run.

                mine was 4door though.

Nice engine mate. Where abouts in sydney are you? Theres so few of us around in syd.

Hope it's on the road soon and running sweet.

Those Passat inlet manifolds just don't fit the golf, take up to much room. When I put the 20v in the ute I made a new plenum with the throttle body on the battery side and shortened the runners. That gave me enough room for the front mount and 16v radiator at an angle (like a Golf 2) with an after market radiator fan. Good luck and hope to see it on the road soon.

Also it's easier to use a Golf GTI exhaust manifold an turbo(with the 4 bolt dump pipe flange) especially if you keep the rod change gearbox.

                        Cheers again Peter

hahah im not ians son.. lol but hes a family freind. i just live up the rd from there workshop. is your car a white mk1 with clear lights???
yea im cuting the inlet runners down or might put the golf 20v inlet on.. and yea the exahust side of things sux. the drive shaft and gear linkages get in the way so a golf exahust manifold and turbo would b the better option but i dont have the money to fund that so gottta stick with what i got... hehe but should b fine to work the exhaust around that problem..
