  • Hub Caps

    Hi

A while back I was given a set of chrome hub caps for the golf. I was told that they need a pair of clips to attach them to the wheel. Does anyone know if this is the case, and who might have some?

At the moment I have plastic wheel nut and hub covers which I assume will have to come off for the hub caps to go on.

Here's the best pic I have of the wheel (don't have one for the hub cap, bit it's probably 5 inches in diametre and covers the middle of the wheel)

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

the clips are difficult to find indeed, and had a habit of getitng lost and allowing you to lose your hubcaps...

my dad made some for his. you definately need more than just 2, i would say 4. i'll try to check out how he made them for you.

Thanks. You can email me the pics if that's easier. smparker@internode.on.net Or there is a way of uploading pics direct to the site without using photobucket.

Greasy, have you tried IMPARTS on main north road for clips? I was talking to Dean Hoskin today & while he has no stock he may still be able to get some. His phone no is 82603667.

Dean owned Intervolks but has sold his business to Imparts. He now works for them.

Thanks for the tip. I finally got some from IMPARTS. Good guys and great service. Went in Friday to ask about the clips. Dean (I think) knew exactly what they were, placed an order, said they'd be in on Monday. Went in today to collect them and they were bagged up waiting for me.

All I have to do now is put them on. Easier said than done.
