Front Indicator Assembly?

Hey guys,

I had some plastic bumpers on the mk1 but have recently acquired some chrome small bumpers. I tried to fit them up today but found the indicator assembly would contact the body of the car before the holes would line up. Once i remove the socket for the indicator i can just line up the holes without the assembly contacting the body. In my head, i figured these could be why -

1. The bulb socket assembly is too long and i need to find a shorter one
2. There is a specific indicator assembly for the small bumpers
3. Im an idiot and missed something

Can anyone help?

Found out elsewhere looks like there is a variance, im now chasing indicators to suite small chrome bumpers, refer my wanted to buy ad
