only 3/4 inch lowering?!? that's not even a whole coil! If you're car's on stock suspension sure it'll fit, but look mighty bad! Rolling the lips isn't too painful a job anyways.

IMO over done, looks stupid when the rim is THAT far from the tire.
A Mk1 literally doesn't work safely at that height. The steering geometry goes up sh-t creek (bad bump steer; no front end travel whatsoever; bad CV angles, and darty, nervous steering). Both would also have bad arch rubbing.

At the end of the day, though, neither is build to drive properly, so it's not really an issue.

      I like both of them

Jarred, I'll likely lower it about 1inch or thereabouts but I dont want it riding as low as the two in the first post. While they look absolutely off the hook, they'd be far off that driving on a daily basis.

Very true! 1 Inch is fairly decent lowering. I doubt you'd have any issues. in reality you could lower it two inches and still not run into any (or much) trouble.

Its not so much the rubbing issues but ground clearance. While a slammed stance is great, I dont know if I could go with the compromise of driviability (ie going angeled over bumps constantly etc).

Still thoughts at the moment but I'll most likely drop about an inch and have the wheels poking out of the guards about 10-15mm with spacers to give that slammed/pumped look without actually being that slammed.

My goof was (was- its not on the road at the moment) lowered 2.5 inches. 15x7 et 26 BBS wheels. Would have rubbed on the lip if it wasn't folded but otherwise sweet as.

Preen59, how was it for ground clearance (ie did it scrape over the usual speed bumps etc)?

So as to not start a new thread, I'll ask here.

                              Just bought some 15 x 7 offset 13 EXIP's.

How much should I expect them to stick out of guards?

                              Cheers
